Village Echoes

$15.00$270.00

Village Echoes, is a Fine Art print of an original mixed-media painting by Marion King. Inspiration was drawn from the abandoned villages nestled on the mountainsides of Oman. It portrays a hauntingly beautiful scene where the external walls of the buildings remain intact, telling stories of a forgotten past. The tops of the mosques are adorned with silver leaf, evoking a sense of serenity and spirituality. Despite the absence of inhabitants, the strong lines create a poignant atmosphere, suggesting that the mosques continue their calls to prayer, with the sounds resonating through the silent village. Village echoes invites you to contemplate the lingering echoes of human presence and the enduring significance of sacred spaces, even when the community has long gone.

Printed on Giclée Hahnemühle German Etching paper with archival inks and hand embellished with silver leaf, making each print unique. Three different print options are available; framed and mounted in wooden frames with glass, mounted on cradled wood panels or prints with 15mm white borders ready for framing.

All prints come with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
