Returning Home

Inspiration came from the concept of returning home to oneself. I worked to abstract memories and create a feeling of space on the canvas Layers of paint were applied like veils, then scraped back to reveal what was lying beneath the surface. Being able to see traces of the hidden layers helps to reveal the story contained within the painting.
